Professional Activities
ORGANIZATIONS:
Dr. Girardot belongs to all of the usual dental and orthodontic societies, such as the American Dental Association, the Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists and the Colorado Society of Orthodontists. These are standard groups that most doctors belong to, and join by simply paying dues.
In addition, he is a member of numerous prestigious orthodontic associations such as Angle Society of Orthodontists, the Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontists, and the Roth/Williams International Society of Orthodontists.
LECTURING AND TEACHING:
- Dr. G is frequently invited to lecture at many international orthodontic meetings, such as the Asia/Pacific Orthodontic Conference in Beijing, China in 2005
- Dr. G was a guest instructor at the Roth/Williams course at the University in Chennai, India
- Dr. Girardot has lectured twice at the annual meeting of the American Association of Orthodontists
- Guest lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry, Department of Orthodontics

HONORS:
The Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists
This is one of the oldest honor societies in orthodontics. Application is by invitation and membership is granted after case presentations and writing a scientific paper. Active membership is maintained through periodic presentation of a scientific paper.
The American College of Dentists
Membership is by invitation based on contribution to the advancement of the dental profession.
The American Equilibration Society
An international group of dentists and allied professionals with special interest in diagnosis and treatment of diseases caused by disharmony of the chewing system. (www.occlusion-tmj.org)
The Roth/Williams International Society of Orthodontists
Dr. Girardot was a founder of this society and its first president.
College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontists
An orthodontist must be board certified to be a member of this organization.
Omicron Kappa Upsilon
Dental students in the top ten percent of their graduating class are inducted into this fraternity. In his junior year of dental school, Dr. G received the award for highest GPA in dexterity skills.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
Diplomate of the American Board Of Orthodontics
Dr. G was board certified in 1987. The patient writeups he presented for certification were selected for display at the national meeting of the Association of Orthodontists.
The Pacesetter Award
Granted by the Roth/Williams International Society of Orthodontists for outstanding achievement and leadership.
5280 Magazine
Dr. G has been chosen as a peer-selected ”Top Dentist – Orthodontist” in 5280 magazine each time they have published this issue.
